J+23 / 23 days after the operation

Things are moving along well. No pain at all when bending now. Off medication totally. Tried to negotiate a bath but felt it wasn't wise yet. Still not been out in the car. Have set a target of 18th January for trying to sit properly. That is two calendar months after the operation. If I do go out, it will be on foot for the present. There is talk of going yo see our son over Christmas but it's a two hour drive. I would go lying down if we went.

Tout va bien. Pas de douleur quand je me penche maintenant. Sans médicaments totalement.

J'ai essayé de négocier le bain mais j'ai senti que ce n'était pas encore le moment. Toujours pas sortie en voiture. J'ai mis la cible sur le 18 janvier pour essayer de m'asseoir. Ça fera deux mois pile après l'intervention. Si je sors. A sera à pied pour l'instant. On parle d'aller voir notre fils pour novel mais c'est à 2h de routes. J'irai couchée derrière si nous décidons d'y aller

J+17 / 17 days after the operation

Went for my first walk today, only about 1/4 mile but I felt ok. The nurses stopped their visits today and the scar has healed well on the outside. (see photo) Still healing inside as I can feel pain. I wince sometimes, and have been told it is the nerves healing slowly. There have been some horror stories on the forum I have joined, so I am lucky I think. And my surgeon had lots of experience, which helps. (Almost 500 operations of this type)

Je me suis promenée pour la toute première fois aujourd'hui, seulement 500 mètres mais je me sentais bien. Les infirmières ont cessé leurs visites aujourd'hui. De l'extérieur, la plaie s'est bien cicatrisée (voir photo) Ça se cicatrise toujours à l'intérieur car je ressens des douleurs. On m'a dit que les nerfs se reforment lentement. Il y a eu des histoires terribles au forum où je suis abonnée. Je pense que j'ai de la chance. Le chirurgien avait beaucoup d'expérience ce qui aide. (Presque 500 interventions de ce type)

Étonnant non? Pas trop de dommages. C'est l'ARNICA, ça ne peut pas être autre chose.

Amazing, dont you think? Not too much mess. It is arnica, can't be anything else.
